SPM Biologi - ​Peralatan Keselamatan Makmal 
Kabinet keselamatan biologi – menyediakan persekitaran yang terlindung daripada pathogen.

Kabinet aliran lamina – mewujudkan kawasan kerja yang steril melalui aliran udara yang ditaphis di dalam kabinet aliran lamina.

Kebuk wasap – memberi perlindungan daripada wap, asap, tosik dan debu. 

Cecair pencuci mata – digunakan untuk mencuci atau mebilas mata yang terkena  percikan bahan kimia.

Sistem pancuran keselamatan – mencuci, mebasuh dan membilas bahagian anggota badan atau pakaian yang terkena tumpahan bahan kimia dalam kuantiti yang banyak dan berkepekatan tinggi.

Topeng muka – melindungi mulut, hidung dan sistem pernafasan daripada asap, wap dan habuk 

Sarung tangan makmal – melindungi tangan semasa mengendalikan sampel biologi 

Baju makmal – melindungi pakaian dan badan daripada percikan bahan kimia.

Kasut makmal – melindungi bahagian kaki daripada kecederaan yang berpunca daripada tumpahan bahan kimia atau serpihan berkaca.

Biologi adalah kajian terhadapa benda hidup dan persekitaran semula jadi secara terperinci dan menyeluruh. 

Istilah “Biologi” terbahagi kepada dua bahagian iaitu bios dan logos. 

Bios dan logos merupakan istilah dalam Bahasa Yunani yang membawa maksud:
Bios-kehidupan 
Logos – kajian 

Bidang – bidang kajian yang berkembang daripada biologi adalah:
