Differential diagnosis of causes hyperthyroidism
-thyroid secreting hormones hypersecretion by pituitary tumor
-high HCG level due to pregnancy, testicular malignancy, trophoblastic tumor
-amiodarone induced thyroiditis
-thyroiditis after radioiodine administration
-Jod Basedow phenomenon (in endemic or multinodular goiter, hyperthyroidism due to high iodine intake such as amiodarone, radiocontrast)
-exogenous thyroid hormone ingestion
-subacute de Quervain’s thyroiditis
-toxic multinodular goiter
