-Graves’ ophthalmopathy -pituitary apoplexy -glomus jugulare -diphtheria -Guillain Barre Syndrome -Myasthenia gravis -Paget’s disease -neurofibromatosis -systemic lupus erythematosus -neurosyphilis -compression by tumor or aneurysm -vertebral or internal carotid arterial dissection -infiltrating process at skull base such as meningitis, nasopharyngeal cancer, lymphoma, intracranial metastases -malignant otitis externa -acute or chronic otitis media -multiple sclerosis -hypertension -diabetes
