-periodic paralysis syndrome -poliomyelitis -toxic neuropathy -diphttheritic neuropathy -porphyria -chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy -Refsum disease ( HMSN type IV) -Dejerine – Scottas Disease ( HMSN type III) -Friedrich’s ataxia -porphyria -Charcot Marie Tooth disease ( hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy, HMSN type I and type II -industrial agents -pesticides such as acrylamide, organophosphates, hexacarbon solvents, methyl bromide, carbon disulfide -drugs such as isoniazid, phenytoin, pyridoxine, nitrofurantoin, vincristine, -metals such as lead, mercury, arsenic, thallium -temporal giant cell arteritis -rheumatoid arthritis -polyarteritis nodosa -diphtheric neuropathy -lyme disease -HIV / AIDS -Hansen’s disease ( leprosy) -neuropathy associated with critical illness -paraneoplastic syndrome such as lung cancer -sarcoidosis -hypothyroidism -hyperthyroidism -cryoglobulinmeia -amyloidosis -multiple myeloma -vitamin B12 deficiency -thiamine deficiency -uremia -alcoholism -diabetes mellitus
