-interstitial lung disease such as sarcoidosis, lymphangioleiomyomatosis, eosinophilic granuloma (Langerhans cell histiocytosis), histiocytosis X,
-menstruation ( catamenial pneumothorax)
-pneumocystic pneumonia ( PCP)
-chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ( ruptured bleb or bulla)
-apical bleb rupture for thin, tall males age 10 -30
-positive pressure mechanical ventilation
-central line placement
-percutaneous or transbronchial lung
