Differential diagnosis of Epigastric Pain:
-physical abuse -functional dyspepsia -sexual abuse -non ulcer dyspepsia -gastric volvulus -esophageal rupture -intestinal ischemia -pregnancy -abdominal hernia -pneumonia -myocardial ischemia -pericarditis -H.Pylori -Cholelithiasis -Cholangitis -Choledocholithiasis -Parasitic infection such as Ascaris, Giardia and Strongyloides -gastric cancer -malabsorption -lactase deficiency -gastroparesis -drugs such as theophylline, narcotics, digoxin, corticosteroids, or antibiotics such as metronidazole, macrolides) -indigestion from high fat food, coffee or over eating -pancreatic cancer -pancreatitis -gastritis due to alcohol, stress, NSAIDs or H.pylori , or pernicious anemia -gastroesophageal reflux disease -peptic ulcer disease
