What is Endocrinology - How frequently do metastases happen?
Adults may experience localised lymph node metastases as frequently as 30% to 60% of the time, although distant metastases are far less common, occurring in only 2% to 4% of individuals. The manifestation of paediatric thyroid carcinoma is more severe. In 60 to 80 percent of these patients, there are local lymph node metastases, and in 10 to 20 percent of patients, there are distant metastases.
