Examination of the stool may reveal proglottids ( successive segment )/ strobila. Taenia saginata is a hermaphrodite worm.
The treatment may include avoiding undercooked beef and proper disposal of human waste ( avoiding infection spread to cattle) and medicated with praziquantel.
