Hemorrhagic Fever Syndrome
Hemorrhagic fever syndrome is caused by yellow fever virus which is a form of flavivirus. Yellow fever virus can be detected via virus specific IgM antibody. Patient may present with hemorrhagic fever, black vomit, hemorrhagic, shock, jaundice, headache and myalgia. The common mode of transmission of the yellow fever virus is via infected mosquito. Is important to prevent hemorrhagic fever syndrome by controlling the mosquito vector. Yellow fever virus will directly enter the blood stream from the bite of infected mosquito. Yellow fever virus then will spread to the monocyte- macrophages lineage. Yellow virus will acts on the liver ( hepatic system). The treatment may include life attenuated yellow fever virus vaccine.
