What is Pathology- What is bradykinin, and what does it do?
Bradykinin is a low-molecular-weight peptide produced by the enzyme kallikrein from a high-molecular-weight kininogen. Bradykinin, like histamine, promotes vascular permeability. Because kininases inactivate bradykinin, its effects are short-lived.
